Marble Column, Granite Column, Italian Roman Pillar The three-dimensional columns used in Rome for decoration and beautification include three types of classical columns from the Greek period, with a total of five types: Doric, Ionic, Corinthian, and Roman (Tuscan, composite).
Tauric column It is a type of cylindrical structure without a base, directly placed on a pedestal and built up by a series of drum shaped stones one by one, making it sturdy and magnificent. The surface of the cylindrical body is engraved with continuous grooves from top to bottom, and the number of grooves varies between 16 and 24. It comes from ancient Egypt, and the Pre Tauric order, named by famous French Egyptologists, is a pioneer of this Greek order. The characteristic of the Greek Doric Order is that it is relatively large and majestic, without a base, with 20 grooves on the column body and no decoration on the column head. The Doric column is also known as a male column. The famous Parthenon in the Acropolis of Athens adopts the Doric order. Ionic pillar Ionic Order:This type of column is relatively slender, lightweight, and exquisitely carved. The column body is long, thin on the top and thick on the bottom, but without curvature. The grooves on the column body are deep and semi-circular. The upper column head is composed of decorative bands and two connected large circular scrolls, with a top plate directly on the lintel. In short, it gives people a relaxed and lively, free and beautiful feminine temperament. The characteristic of the Greek Ionic Order is that it is relatively slender and beautiful, with 24 grooves on the column body and a pair of downward scroll decorations on the column head. The Ionic columns are also known as female columns. Due to its elegant and noble temperament, Ionic columns were widely used in many ancient Greek buildings, such as the Temple of Athena Nike and Erechtheium in the Acropolis of Athens. Corinthian column Corinthian order:It may have first appeared in the Temple of Zeus on Mount Olympus in Athens, with scroll shaped decorative patterns on all four sides and two rows of leaf decorations surrounding it, particularly pursuing exquisite symmetry and appearing very gorgeous and delicate. The Corinthian Order of Greece has a more slender Bibi Ionic column, with its capital decorated with acanthus leaves, resembling a flower basket filled with flowers and plants. Compared to the Ionic order, the Corinthian order is more decorative, but its application in ancient Greece was not widespread. The Temple of Zeus in Athens used the Corinthian order. The Romans inherited the Greek order and modified it, perfecting the Corinthian order, which was widely used to build grand and ornate buildings, and created a hybrid order with Ionic capital added to the Corinthian capital. They transformed the Greek Doric order and developed the Tascan order. Due to the unique nature of our products, they are all customized, and all prices depend on different sizes and materials.
